Day 24. Coingate, Coinpayments, and Bitpay reviews
The list has been compiled, now we need to check all suitable and unsuitable payment systems.
For cryptocurrency transfers, I am considering Coingate, Coinpayments, and BitPay. In my previous work, I often came across these systems. Each has its own pros and cons.
Coingate offers easy connection with support, a user-friendly interface, convenient withdrawal of funds. However, if the client requests a refund, you will need to keep funds in the account throughout the entire guarantee period for the refund of funds stated on your website. While this may be good for one client, it can be inconvenient with a large number of requests, leading you to seek refunds using other gateways or a personal cryptocurrency wallet. The API works well with WHMCS, with no malfunctions even after updates.
Coinpayments has great functionality, allowing for the conversion of different cryptocurrencies within your account. This feature is convenient for refunding different types of cryptocurrencies. Almost all known cryptocurrencies are supported. While the API works well, I found the communication system with support to be inconvenient, as it requires a separate login from where fund transfer operations are carried out. If a payment gets stuck, you must wait 3 days for an automatic refund to the client’s wallet or contact support for assistance. Your experience with it may differ.
BitPay performed well, ensuring payments always arrived without issues. Bitpay reviews appear favorable as well. However, there were problems with the API disconnecting from WHMCS, resulting in delays with customer services. All transactions had to be applied manually. Refunds to customers are possible and convenient through your account with a single button. But you need to top up your account separately for this purpose.
Unfortunately, in many cases, registering a business account is necessary, with restrictions on the amount of a one-time transfer. Due to our price tiers, we may not be able to accept payments as we do not meet the required minimum.
We have decided to work directly through a crypto wallet. When a client needs to transfer funds, we will manually provide the wallet address. This approach will be good for a start, and once we start making a profit, we will consider cooperating with payment systems through business accounts.
