Day 68. Now I need help with car repairs
Today, I did not spend time at the computer. I parked my car on the organization’s premises where they provide parking spaces. Since I do not travel often, I only visit my car once a week, sometimes even less frequently. The important thing is to ensure that parking bills are paid every month.
However, last night a stranger called me and inquired about the possibility of purchasing my car. It was evident that the car had been parked for a prolonged period and was covered in dust. I informed the caller that my car was not for sale, but I could provide the contact information of a friend who was selling their car, despite its less than ideal condition. The stranger then remarked that my car was also not in the best condition, prompting his call to inquire about its availability for purchase.
Unable to sleep due to worry, I spent the night imagining what the stranger had observed, since I had been near the car just three days prior and all seemed fine.
Early in the morning, I inspected the situation in the parking lot and discovered that my car had been struck by a neighbor who misjudged the dimensions of their vehicle while parking. The front driver’s door, left fender, and bumper were significantly damaged.
Fortunately, the organization’s employees informed me that they possessed the contact information of the individual responsible. It was later revealed that the individual, a priest who regularly parked in the lot. Accidentally he hit my car while reversing at night, was genuinely remorseful. He left his contact information for communication.
We met, agreed on the car repairs, and took the vehicle to the workshop. The responsible party covered the expenses, and I simply awaited notification from the workshop regarding the completion of repairs.
Today was highly emotional and mentally challenging, leading me to forgo my usual evening routine of interacting on forums. Fortunately, my partner monitored our web hosting`s email and website, allowing me to focus on resolving the issue at hand.
