Day 110. I lost access to my Dogecoin wallet
Yesterday, just before going to bed, I suddenly remembered that between 2013 and 2015, I had collected a small amount of Dogecoins from various faucets. The first thing I did was check my notes on my laptop, and after a few hours, I found the username and password to log into my Dogecoin wallet. However, I couldn’t log in because I needed a special secret key, which I couldn’t find in my records.
I spent the entire day browsing various forums and communities related to this issue. It turned out that the conditions for dealing with this cryptocurrency had changed since June 1. Now everything needed to be stored on a computer as online wallets had been discontinued. Many people had lost access to their data due to misplacing the special key, and despite efforts to find workaround solutions, it proved to be impossible.
I read a lot of information, looked at many different technical forums, and other sources, but none of it yielded any results. I need to search for the key.
On a positive note, I had managed to leave 6 posts in cryptocurrency communities with links to order hosting services.
